Style Icon - Kurt Cobain

As this week was the anniversary of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain's death, I thought it was only fair to feature him in my soon-to-be regular feature 'Style Icons'. I'm sure he would be so proud to be featured on a blog like this. You're welcome Kurt. Grunge style is as big today as it was in the late 80s and 90s so the next time you throw on some battered jeans and a band t shirt then spare a thought for the man himself, and maybe listen to Lithium.

  2. I just found your blog via the IFB forum and I was instantly intrigued when I clicked the link and saw Kurt Cobain staring back at me. I love love love love Kurt Cobain. I don't think I can type Love enough to truly express it. I grew up listening to Nirvana and can remember the time surrounding his death like it was yesterday. He truly was a style icon, something I'm sure he never intended...but none the less will forever be remembered as. I mean who can ever look at a fuzzy cardigan sweater the same way again.

    Ok, I'll stop rambling now!

Thanks so much for sharing <3

  4. I guess Kurt became my own unintentional style inspiration last year when I dyed my long hair and went through yet another "grunge" phase in my dressing. Of course, now that I've had all my hair cut off I'm suddenly attracted to much more formal attire. But I still like to mix it up with some shredded sweatshirts...

  7. Love Kurt and the Nirvana days, always associate grunge with distressed, pale denim, converse and bad hair roots. Right now I have the latter!
