Conran Bath & Body Event

Last night the lovely people at Conran hosted an event to launch their new Bath & Body range. I attended the event with my brand spanking new Nikon D3100 which I had no idea how to use, so apologies to the guys at Conran as I don't have many visual aids to this post! I did however have to sneek a picture of me in my new Marni at H&M shirt, which as of yet is sitting alone in my wardrobe without it's accompanying shorts. If anyone has a size small to sell then please let me know! But I digress...

So back to the event. It was held in Sir Terence Conran's luxury apartment overlooking the Thames, which was lovely to say the least. I had to be on my best behaviour and not spill/break anything. For those of you who are not familiar with the brand, Conran specialise in interior, product and graphic design as well as architecture, and this is their first foray into the beauty industry. The new bath and body range consists of hand lotions, body lotions and scrubs, shower gels and hand washes. I was sent samples of the body scrub and lotion which were lovely to use - especially the body scrub, which has a jellied consistency not unlike caviar! The entire range comes with a choice of two scents, simply named '1' and '2'. All the products are unisex, however scent 1 is more masculine, with oud woods and pepper being the key aromas. Scent 2 is lighter with top notes of citrus and fresh cut green stems.

There was also a chance to try out the new scents which will form the next range. The ladies from the fragrance house Drom, who produce the scents for the range, were there to let us sample three possible scents which will be whittled down to two based on feedback. One reminded me a lot of vanilla cheesecake, which is never a bad thing.

All in all the event was really fun and I met some interesting people. I would definitely reccomend their products to either men or women, as there really is something for everyone.
